Where's Waldo?

Head north on I-43 from Milwaukee, and you'll find Waldo.
Keep driving, and you'll find Manitowoc and Two Rivers.

Grantsburg. Hayward. Rifle. Sacramento. Sandstone. Missoula. Arcadia. Beaver Dam. Bloomer. Green Bay. Two Rivers. Rice Lake. Eau Claire. La Crosse.

Dozens of phone calls. Four states.Ten on-site interviews. Ten outfits with a little extra perspiration.

After sharing my five- and ten-year plans with strangers, telling them stories of conflict (when people didn't get along with me and never vice versa, of course), after offers and background checks, flights and drives...

Next stop, Manitowoc!

I've accepted a position in eastern Wisconsin as a physical therapist at an outpatient orthopedics clinic with a Lakeside view. Starting on January 5, I'll be reveling in the spoils of being a grown-up: a full work week, bills, coworkers, a roommate-free apartment, and a library card (woohoo!).

I can't wait to start implementing what I've learned and putting evidence into practice.
Here's to a new year and a new job. Here's to starting my career!

  3. Congratulations! I hope there still might be some reason for you to have to travel through Chicago and come see the Bennetts. Enjoy your first day of work, and happy New Year, doc!
