Birthversary

Birthdays are special. They evolve as you get older: less importance on who comes to the party – or even if there is a party – and more emphasis on celebrating another year. My last trip around the sun was filled with many blessings and adventures; an unforgettable year. I survived a polar vortex, made many snowmen and snowwomen, utilized the overwhelming hospitality of four families, jumped and swung and slid through the air in two countries, lived in four states (and visited thirteen), fell in love with a mountain, participated in weddings, embraced the could-dos and ditched stereotypes, worked and studied in another country, and became a DPT. And I did all of it surrounded by loving, beautiful, life-enriching people.

I'm blessed beyond reason, without reserve, undeservingly. Here's to a coming year of paying it forward, and aiming to become more like the people who make God's blessings manifest in my life.
