If only I could whittle down the number of fantastic memories from this year to that relatively tiny number. But I can't, and I shan't; but I'll do the next best thing. Highlight reel!
January: Pyramids, temples, columns, the Nile, three Americans, and a bunch of Egyptians. Escaped a revolution by the hair of my chinny-chin-chin. Also watched The Lion King for the first time in its entirety.
February: Watched the Green Bay Packers win Super Bowl XLV as the African sun rose, while wearing a Packers jersey bought in a roadside stand in Ongata Rongai, Kenya. Ate victory pancakes. Taught kids stuff.
March: Climbed a mountain. The second-largest in Africa (fact); subsequently lost a lung (supposition). Tamed a lion cub. Taught kids stuff (like PE).
April: Counted a bajillion flying termites. Played a lot of piano. Taught kids stuff (like Physics).
May: Drank mocha milkshakes. Played a lot of piano. Taught kids stuff.
June: Made new friends. Said goodbye.
July: USA!
August: Canned peaches. Went to school.
September: Went to school.
October: Went to school. Pumpkin projectiles. Talked to a boy, officially.
November: Went to school. Met the most handsome boy ever born.
December: Conquered PT school semester 1! Then traveled the world. And eight states.

Wow. 2011. Over. Homes on two sides of the world, friends scattered throughout, new nephews and relationships, new opportunities.
Most important thing of those 365 highlight-filled days? Discovering over and over that I can't believe how fortunate, how blessed Jessica Mae is. SheeshWowWhocanbelieveit.

If the past was that cool, just imagine the future!!
